Title: Phar Lap

Image: Stuart Reid (copyright)

Shape: 215 x 295 mm, rectangular

Pieces: 215

This puzzle was cut so that Phar Lap himself formed a puzzle within a puzzle, the two linked by horse-shoe shaped sockets. The puzzle also features horse silhouettes based on photographs of Phar Lap and his heart (Phar Lap is one of Australasia's most famous racehorces; he had an exceptionally large heart that is now stored in a the Canberra museum. Phar Lap's hide was stuffed and is in the Melbourne museum).
